As we stated at the beginning of the video, the Iranian government announced a few weeks ago that it planned to deepen ties with Burkina Faso by sharing its expertise in security, health, and economic development. This was made known by the Iranian ambassador to Burkina Faso, Mojtaba Faghihi, who conveyed Iran’s readiness to provide support to Burkina Faso, during a meeting with Burkina Faso’s Economic Minister, Aboubacar Nacanabo. During the meeting, the Iranian Ambassador revealed that Iran intends to establish a pharmaceutical production unit in Burkina Faso, together with other manufacturing ventures. The Ambassador also congratulated Minister Aboubacar on the establishment of the first ever Burkina Faso Treasury Bank which was established recently. He then urged the Burkinabe government to ease banking exchanges between the two nations and foster support for investors. In response, Minister Aboubacar reaffirmed and reassured his country’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Iran in all areas of mutual interest.
