Download & Stream: London duo House of Molly are punky disruptors with a healthy sense of irreverence. They centre Blackness and queerness, embrace glamour and hedonism, and fully endorse the transportive power of dance music.
Announcing their arrival on the club circuit last August, the girls’ debut release ‘Slap Back’, was a collaboration with revered female techno pioneer Nicole Moudaberon Diplo’s Higher Ground label. A heady electronic club banger on which Holly intones: "We could go deeper, we could go down”, the track was well supported by the A-List fraternity.
Subsequently, they kicked off 2025 with 'Stonewalled', a shimmering team-up with DJ-producer Eats Everything, adding a take on boogie for his new artist album, followed by another collab ‘The Fire’ with Piero Pirupa on Danny Howard’s imprint, Nothing Else Matters.
Setting the tone perfectly then for ‘HOUSE ARREST’, the duo’s first solo release on Dutch label ‘Altra Moda’
This modern-day version pays homage to the 1987 original by Krush with its infectious chorus line “If you’re looking for love, don't follow me… we've got this house under arrest”, whilst the radio edit and full vocal mix comes further enhanced by an additional injection of the duo’s own rap verses, reframing the original lyrics’narrative with a fresh feminist perspective.
