hugh "hughie" campbell jr. is one of the two main protagonists (alongside billy butcher) of the amazon series the boys. he is a member of the the boys. hughie has a mediocre life. he’s a mild-mannered guy with a boring job, who still lives at home with his father hugh campbell sr. in the same bedroom he grew up in. the only light in his life is the love of his life: his girlfriend robin. that is, until a speedster superhero named a-train runs through robin, eviscerating and killing her on impact. desperate for revenge, hughie is recruited by anti-supe vigilante billy butcher and his world is turned upside down when he finds himself caught in the middle of a war against superheroes – who, as it turns out, are neither super nor heroic.

jesse bruce pinkman is one of the three main protagonists (alongside walter white and saul goodman) of the breaking bad franchise. he serves as the deuteragonist of the amc tv series of the same name, the main protagonist of its 2019 sequel film el camino: a breaking bad movie and a minor yet pivotal character in the sixth and final season of the prequel/sequel series better call saul. he is a small-time methamphetamine cook and dealer in albuquerque, new mexico, who goes into business with his high school chemistry teacher walter white to make and distribute an incredibly pure form of meth of walt's creation. while walt often treats jesse like a foolish child in constant need of stern correction, they actually have a deep bond of loyalty for each other. like walt, jesse is highly horrified by the brutality of the higher levels of the drug trade, but always does what he thinks to be necessary. he struggles with his feelings of guilt and sorrow over the deaths that result from his and walt's crimes, especially those of both of his girlfriends, jane margolis and andrea cantillo.
