Gigi said he was the “first trans male drag queen on Rupaul’s Drag Race”, to which Trisha responded: “Is he the first male period on Drag Race?”. Gigi laughed and said “no, they’re all male”.
#Gottmik clearly loved the interaction as he reposted the clip with the caption “Best day of my life”.
But, it’s not actually true that all Drag Race contestants so far have been male as Gigi said. This year’s winner of #dragraceusa was #SashaColby who is a #transwoman, and the first winner of #dragracegermany was #pandoranox who is a #ciswoman.
