Ching Shih: Born around 1775 in Guangdong, China, Ching Shih, also known as Zheng Yi Sao, rose from humble beginnings to command one of history's most formidable pirate fleets. Following her husband's death in 1807, she assumed leadership of the Red Flag Fleet, uniting over 400 ships and tens of thousands of pirates under her strict code. Her forces dominated the South China Sea, challenging major powers like the Qing dynasty and the British Empire. In 1810, she negotiated a favorable amnesty with the Qing government, allowing her to retire peacefully. Ching Shih's legacy endures as a testament to her strategic brilliance and leadership
