Blending a mellow sound with laid-back bluesy chords, Bristol four-piece Kimbo Nice exude light-hearted and care-free energy that distinguishes their style. Inspired by Talking Heads, Viagra Boys and Modern Lovers, the four musicians – vocalist Ali Topan, guitarist James Wilkinson, bassist Oly Honess and drummer Taryn McDonnell – met in 2018 and started jamming together shortly after.The wave pop band has quickly found success in Bristol: after headlining Rough Trade and supporting Winston Surfshirt at Thekla, they are now ready to perform for a wider UK audience.
