After installing a lift kit on our 5th Gen Toyota 4Runner our tierod ends were wearing out much quicker than normal. We also noticed the joints on the bottom of our ToyTec coilovers were showing premature wear. After a close inspection, we found that at full suspension drop our outer tierod ends were acting as the travel limiter. Same goes for our expensive coilovers. When adjusted properly they don't reduce down travel but do take the burden off all the other suspension components.
