Join us as we visit Milford Sound, New Zealand - the country's most spectacular natural attraction and known as the Eighth Wonder of the World!

Milford Sound is a fjord in the southwest of New Zealand’s South Island. It is renowned for the towering Mitre Peak, plus rainforests and waterfalls like Stirling and Bowen falls. The fjord is also home to fur seal colonies, penguins, and dolphins. You can enjoy some truly amazing sights here.

We set off on an adventure to visit Milford Sound from Queenstown. It is doable in a day but it's a long one because the drive itself can take three and a half hours. It might take you even longer with stops to capture pictures of the mountains, lakes and enchanting mists which are extremely stunning.

Along the way, one of our stops at a noteworthy place was Mirror Lake. It's a short 5 minute walk from the highway and the reflection of the mountains on the water is gorgeous. Shortly before our scheduled cruise departure, we passed through the Homer Tunnel and descended into Milford Sound.

We set sail with Cruise Milford for a beautiful tour of the fjord. We also got a chance to enjoy a view of the Tasman Sea. Literally, we were at the end of the world! They said it was very rare that we got this far out and this was pretty cool. We also got to see a seal resting on the rocks and were super excited to experience the rush of the waterfalls up close.
