57 years ago tonight, the San Jose Civic Auditorium was buzzing with psychedelic vibes. Headlined by Love, who had just days earlier released their second album Da Capo, the show also featured The Chocolate Watchband. At the time, The Chocolate Watchband were gearing up for the release of their single ‘Sweet Young Thing’ / ‘Baby Blue’. I still need that Uptown Records 7”. Their cover of Dylan’s ‘Baby Blue’ is one of the better ones out there.

This handbill is straight from my collection, one of my favorite pieces of memorabilia, I just wished it was the poster.
