I just bought the Boss OC-5 octave pedal, so it’s time to hear what this thing can do!

We all know octave pedals are great for garage rock stuff like The White Stripes, Jack White, The Black Keys, Wolfmother and so on, but they’re actually far more versatile than that.

I needed fuzz for a lot of the sounds here, so I used my Digitech DOD Carcosa Fuzz pedal – you can get one of those here:

And I played my Harley Benton DC Junior FAT in Ferris Blue… that color is sold out, but you can still get the DC Junior FAT at Thomann! Here it is:

I ran the OC-5 through a Digitech DOD Carcosa Fuzz pedal into my Hughes & Kettner Black Spirit 200 head. That went from the Red Box DI straight into my Focusrite Scarlett 2i4, which went into Logic Pro X. That's it. No post-processing on the sounds was done.
