Buffalo Bill: An Ultra-brief History (pt. 1)

Buffalo Bill. What a legend.
Born in 1846 as William F. Cody in Le Claire, Iowa, Buffalo Bill got his nickname for hunting buffalo for the Kansas Railroad in the mid-1800's.
In reality, that was only a short period of time in his life, maybe two years.
He ended up becoming a world-class showman, creating and performing in Buffalo Bill's Wild West show throughout the Americas and Europe.
He's credited with popularizing, mythologizing, and even evangelizing the lifestyle of the Old West throughout the world. Without his influence, the term cowboy may have remained a derogatory one to this day.
Throughout the late 1800s and early 1900s, Buffalo Bill's Wild West show would tour extensively, hitting the Americas and Europe eight separate times.
Buffalo Bill's Wild West show was so popular that it inspired Queen Victoria to literally bow to the American flag during a personally-requested private performance in honor of the Queen's 50th year on the throne.
