Summer is always a busy time. This summer in particular is packed with preparations for my new original music as well as plenty of live gigs, which I am really thankful for. But that also means - less time for YouTube shenanigans. Luckily sometimes I get to record a live performance that can then be uploaded on YouTube as well. This is one of those. I recently played at the "Spieser Musik Sommer" with my band "The Strangers". We usually mainly play our own songs but I just happened to film one of the few covers we still do on stage. This is the all time classic "Valerie" by Amy Winehouse.Fun Fact:
"Valerie" was one of the first covers I ever uploaded on YouTube. I had just met two out of three guys who would later become my band mates and to be honest - it sounded awful :D Uploading this cover now 4 years later feels like a full circle moment. It's nice to see the improvement we made over the last few years... :)
