What is it that we do here at InObscuria? Besides eating poptarts, we exhume obscure Rock n' Punk n' Metal in one of 3 categories: the Lost, the Forgotten, or the Should Have Beens. In this episode we take a listen to all 3, as we move n’ groove our way through funk-infused rock n’ roll. This genre has a special meaning to the hosts, as they themselves have dabbled in this funkdafied landscape throughout their musical journeys.
Songs this week include:
1. Butterbrain – “Family” from Butterbrain(2007)
2. Dumpstaphunk – “United Nations Stomp” from Where Do We Go From Here (2021)
3. Ugly Kid Joe – “It’s A Lie” from Motel California(1996)
4. Ugly Americans – “Captain Lubritron” from Stereophonic Spanish Fly (1996)
5. Thelonious Funk – “Holy Water” from Renaissance EP (2020)
6. Electric Boys – “The Sky Is Crying” from Groovus Maximus(1992)
7. Yolk – “Carpet” from Caution: Social Prescriptions May Cause Side-Effects (1995)
