One of the hot topics of Industry 4.0 is Predictive Maintenance. Industrial IoT allows machine builders to quick-start a predictive maintenance strategy and benefit from data logging, visualising and analysing it in the cloud. This topic can be added to the service portfolio of machine builders and enrolled in a servitisation strategy to generate new revenue.

In this video Propack Machinery uses IXON Cloud to log machine parameters to monitor potential technical issues. An automatic notification is triggered when a certain limit is reached, so Propack’s service team is aware in an early stage and can schedule maintenance before the critical parts break down.
