Full videoCURRENCY is an improvisational performance project exploring the unique rhythmic phrasing found in bass-forward electronic music such as jungle, UK garage, dubstep and house. The brainchild of percussionist and producer Rajeev Maddela, CURRENCY aims to navigate this spectrum of genres via Ableton Live, Max/MSP and MIDI percussion triggers (Roland V-Drums and Alternate Mode DrumKAT DK-10), using stimulating sound design and velocity-sensitive patch programming, resulting in spontaneous and dynamic performances.
