Hillsdale Falcons Reflect on Historic Basketball Season

The Hillsdale Falcons’ basketball season ended in a tough regional semifinal at Barberton High School, but the team has plenty to be proud of. Under Coach Ben Ferguson, in just his second year, the Falcons made history with their first sectional championship since 2016 and a district title. Though the loss was disappointing, Ferguson emphasized how much the team accomplished and how their hard work paid off throughout the season.

Coach Ferguson also took time to celebrate his three seniors—Brady, Holland, and Dylan—who played key roles in the team’s success. Brady brought leadership and consistency, Holland shined as the sixth man despite battling shin splints, and Dylan contributed with his shooting and positive attitude. While emotions were somber after the game, Ferguson reminded his players to focus on the great memories they created this season. The Falcons’ historic run has set a strong foundation for future success, leaving both the team and community excited for what’s next.
