The group notched seven Top 20 R&B hits between 1984 and 1990 that included the dancefloor jams “The Men All Pause” and “Meeting in the Ladies Room,” and the ballads “I Miss You” and “I’d Still Say Yes.”
Launching her solo career in 1989, she scored the hit, “Mr. DJ,” featuring rapper Doug E. Fresh. In 2022, she released her acclaimed autobiography, “I’d Still Say Yes,” subtitled “A Dreamer’s Account of Surviving the Entertainment Business.” She continues to perform as Klymaxx w/Joyce “Fenderella” Irby and is recording new music with The Femme Mafia.
