'Jack' or 'jackin'' was many things, but most of all, it represented a shared identity under one roof, rhythm, and feeling (much like flamenco has its "duende" or blues its "blue note"). It was a true cultural movement that gave birth to an organic and multicultural sound, because in Jack's house, there was undoubtedly room for everyone (African Americans, Latin Americans, the LGBTQ+ community...) and consequently for everything (acid house, hip house, Latin house, deep house, Manchester's acid house...), leaving society's prejudices outside the dance floor.

This is a personal interpretation and a small tribute to that time when underground electronic dance music was born. Connect, enjoy.
