The use of psilocybin to treat OCD & future OCD treatments.
In this talk, I will talk about the pressing need for OCD treatments and how psychedelics such as psilocybin play a role in treating OCD. OCD is a common, chronic and long-lasting mental health condition in which a person experiences uncontrollable, intrusive and reoccurring thoughts (obsessions) and behaviours (compulsions) where they feel the urge to repeat over and over, in the attempt to temporarily relieve the unpleasant feelings brought on by the obsessive thought. It affects 2-3% of the world population.
