On 23 May 1979, London garage owner Kevin Reardon was challenged to a boxing match by John Naylor, after the two men failed to agree on a price for Naylor's house. Reardon was intent on buying the house as cheaply as possible, so he knocked down the asking price by beating up Mr Naylor, saving himself five thousand pounds.
