Opening in 1982 as the largest mall between New York City and Cleveland, The Marketplace Mall would grow to have five anchors and take up 1.1 million square feet. Over the years, it has seen a great deal of history, including an emergency airplane landing, Andy Warhol art exhibits, and even an appearance on the show Unsolved Mysteries.
Though it has been struggling for a number of years, an unconventional tenant may just save Marketplace Mall.
