This gouache painting had a lot of surprises for me while painting it. There are elements I didn’t see at first which always happens but the paint swirl/splatter had a curved mix of elements that resembled a ball or sphere on the upper left corner. And also the bottom kind of looks like there is an illusion of a mirror where the white puff balls meet each other next to the gargoyle head. The most bizarre element of course is the black trunk like creature with balls on it and white bubble clouds coming out of it. There’s also a strange pink radish at the top right and a yellow fish eating a floating mushroom. Because why wouldn’t there be?
I think my favorite bits on this one are the radish and the mushroom and the tiny jellyfish creatures.
