Leman Russ, often called the "Wolf King" and the "Great Wolf" in his time, is the missing Primarch of the Space Wolves Chapter of Space Marines.

As the leader of the Space Wolves Legion during the Great Crusade and the Horus Heresy, he became legendary within Imperial history, particularly for his deep disdain for psychic abilities and sorcery, which he considered dishonourable and unworthy of true warriors.

When the Emperor's Great Crusade fleets approached Fenris in 819.M30, they encountered tales of a mighty Wolf King ruling the world. Recognising these stories as evidence of one of his lost Primarchs, the Emperor journeyed to Fenris himself. In doing so, his vast starships crossed the void and arrived at the frozen world just a few short standard years after Russ had conquered and united its warring tribes under his rule.

Known as the Lord of Winter and War, Leman Russ led the Vlka Fenryka—often called the Rout but never the "Space Wolves"—and served as the Emperor’s Executioner, ensuring wayward Primarchs were held accountable. His name was also given to a widely used Imperial battle tank. In the aftermath of the Horus Heresy, he vanished on an unknown mission, possibly in search of the mythical Tree of Life, whose fruit was said to have the power to restore the Emperor. Now, whispers of his return have begun to spread throughout the Imperium.
