On 15 May 1987, ITN's Nick Glass attended the manifesto launch of the Monster Raving Loony Party, the protest party whose sole aim was to ridicule British politics and politicians. Among its manifesto commitments: turning Britain into a tax haven and nationalising hot air. Glass also interviewed the party's founder, Screaming Lord Sutch (born David Edward Sutch) about the party's beginnings in the 1960s, and its future.
