RTFP Video #21: Exercise No. 9- Triplets with Eighth Note Syncopation
Buy the book at:
This is the first exercise of Chapter 3 in Rhythm Training for Pianists. The first two lines of this exercise are very simple switching between regular eighth notes and triplet eighth notes while keeping the metronome on the upbeat. You will then return to eighth note syncopation for line 3 & 4 but with the addition of triplets. The metronome will be kept on the upbeat for all of chapter 3 so that we can feel the triplet/eighth polyrhythm (Not-Di-Fi-Cult) every time we play a triplet. If you need to review that please go back and watch the previous Video #20.
