Ten Ukrainians were reported killed and 35 injured after a Russian missile struck a supermarket during the day in the Ukrainian town of Kostiantynivka, about eight miles from the frontline in the eastern Donetsk region.

The strike came after Ukrainian forces staged a night-time ambush of a Russian convoy 25 miles inside Russia’s Kursk region. The Kremlin declared a federal emergency and said it was transferring extra forces to try to repel a four-day incursion that has badly damaged its credibility
