Dawg is a ghost story in the style of ArtemesiaBlack - we write songs about the 'ghosts' that reveal themselves to us, they tell us their life story and their death story, sometimes the stories are light, sometimes funny, sometimes sad, sometimes tragic but mostly romantic but this song turned much more serious in its message... Domestic Abuse & Violence - this story just happens to be about a woman but we are against all forms of domestic violence as it happens to men as well. We wanted to tell the story in a way of exposing the often hidden secret many people live in and perhaps help those effected somehow in the medium we work in but it also be artistic and creative... So many people stay in these bad and abusive relationships because they start to believe they deserve it or they don't deserve better, I wanted to talk to the person being abused... to look at yourself and see that you are better than this bad situation, there is help, you can change this, you can just leave, nothing out there would be as scary as what you are in, its not worth it, this is not love, please change this before it becomes an end. Please don't forget who YOU are, your deep beautiful self, your need for love is valid, this is not what love is. Don't be ashamed, be free.
