The Gatherers :
With the sun's first golden rays,
They ventured forth through misty haze,
In ancient forests, verdant and wild,
Where whispers of nature beguiled.
With nimble hands and knowing eyes,
They sought the gifts that earth supplies,
From the mighty oak to the humble fern,
Each treasure sought, a lesson learned.
Through tangled groves and mossy glens,
They walked, attuned to nature's lens,
Harvesting herbs and berries sweet,
To nurture kin with nature's treat.
They gathered wisdom from the land,
As each season brushed their outstretched hand,
From spring's awakening of the soil,
To winter's frost, the land did toil.
In gathering's act, they found their grace,
A kinship with nature, a sacred embrace,
For every leaf and every bloom,
Held secrets of life, dispelling gloom.
Though battles raged on distant shores,
The gatherers wove their quiet lores,
Weaving nature's bounty in a tapestry fine,
To bind their people, their hearts entwined.
So let us honor those gatherers old,
Whose hands brought forth treasures untold,
For in their footsteps, we may find,
A connection to land, soul, and mind.
