1999 saw the emergence of UK Hardcore, a rougher and less happy version of Happy Hardcore. This led to the creation of Freeform Hardcore and Trancecore, which fused Hardcore with Trance. Acidcore and Psycore also emerged, blending Hardcore with Acid or Psytrance. All these genres heavily utilize the TB-303, creating a bowl of acid and spacey speedy Hardcore.
