In this trip I went out with my backpack to test out my new Outbound snowshoes, from Canadian Tire, on a hike into the woods, in the middle of a snowstorm and deep, powdery snow, and I stopped to have a coffee break on the trail to warm up. I was originally planning to set up camp, build a tarp shelter and cook up some oatmeal but ran out of daylight. The temperature was bitterly cold at -20 C. and windy.
