Jewish groups and family members of Israeli hostages taken by Hamas will gather outside Downing street today, to protest against the government's plans to recognise Palestine as a state

Family member of hostage in Gaza, Adam Ma'anit, says the protest is to 'raise awareness of the hostages.'

He added, 'this is our way of doing what we can to refocus the government's attention'

The British government has said it will officially recognise Palestine as a state in September - unless Israel meets certain conditions.
