DAYS after the BJP and AIADMK took first formal steps towards a re-alliance, Tamil Nadu BJP president K Annamalai announced Friday that he is not in the race to continue as the state chief. Addressing the media, he said he will continue his political work as an “ordinary cadre”.Refusing to speak about the reason behind his decision, Annamalai said: “I don’t want to talk about my state chief post and the AIADMK alliance. I always want this party to be in its best form… And I will always be around, as an ordinary cadre.”
