A rough shooting quarter for Crawford (4-1) put them in a 12-6 hole to open the game with the Eagles deficit growing to 28-19 by the halftime break, despite receiving 10 of Braxton Baker's 17 pts in the second quarter. Carey (4-0) would see their lead evaporate in the third, though, as a 16-9 Eagles spurt pulled them within 37-35 heading into the final frame.
Behind Jacob Maddy dropping 9 of his 17 pts in the fourth, Crawford would draw the score to even on multiple occasions but could never get over the hump to seize the lead. Three players would end their scoring nights in double-figures for the Blue Devils, who closed out their first win against the Eagles since 2018 by scoring five of the game's final six points.
Brayden Young led Carey with 15 pts while Alexander Putnam added 13 and Carter Smiley put up a dozen. At 3-0 in the N10, the Devils join Mohawk as the only undefeateds remaining in the conference.
