Born July 13, 1956, Mark “The Animal” Mendoza turns 69 tomorrow! The long‐time bassist for Twisted Sister, he brought thunderous low end to heavy‐metal classics like Under the Blade, Stay Hungry, and Come Out and Play. After joining in 1978 (from The Dictators), he later played with Blackfoot and founded Area 22 Productions, mixing key re‑issues and producing Still Hungry and A Twisted Christmas .

His nickname says it all—animalistic grooves, rock-solid production chops, and a legacy of live-deafening, hair-metal power.
