On July 31, 2025, mgk went on the Pat McAfee Show in Canton, Ohio. During this podcast interview, mgk talked about what he thinks of his guitar skills.

"You've always been a good guitar player?" Pat McAfee asked.

"No, I still am not," mgk said.

"I think you are," Pat McAfee said.

"I like that I play whatever I feel, but like, by technicality, I'm like, yeah," mgk said.

"You're comparing yourself to like Bonamassa and like people at the top of it?" Pat McAfee said. "I think whenever you're playing it's great, and you always got a sweet guitar, always has some possessed."

"Yeah. I'm here for the looks, dude," mgk said.
