This is a Motormouth couple car review of the al-new BMW M240i 2-door performance coupe review. The M240i is 3” longer and its wheelbase is stretched by 2” compared to the outgoing model. It has a bold and sporty design with new bumpers, LED headlights, taillights, new wheel options and a solid kidney grille.It has a 3L turbocharged in-line 6 engine with an 8-speed automatic transmission, 382 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque, standard AWD. Gone is the manual transmission and convertible model for 2022. The power increases in this new model by 47 horsepower. There is also a 2L turbocharged 4-cylinder RWD option, the 230i with 255 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. A stiffer chassis, a wider stance and improved steering give this coupe its impressive responsiveness and entertaining drive. It has standard features like M differential, M sport brakes, Aerodynamic kit, M-specific 19” wheel designs of your choice and run-flat tires. Our test model comes with some extra features like Adaptive M Suspension for $750 CAD, Shadow Line headlights $500 CAD, high gloss black trim $350 CAD and Adaptive full LED headlights which are in the Premium Enhanced Package for $5,000 CAD. In the US, the packages and a la carte items are little bit different; you can get the Shadow line headlights and trim for $400 USD. The M240i Coupe starts at $56,950 CAD/$48,550 USD The launch colour, Thundernight Metallic, it certainly is a head turner. Let’s check out the interior and see what it has to offer. The BMW M240i has a driver focused cockpit design, the shifter, start/stop button, BMW controller, are grouped within a modern looking control panel in the centre console. Our test model has the upgraded larger screens, a 10.25” touchscreen and a 12.3” digital driver display for $1,000 CAD/$900 USD. In the US, you’ll find these screens in the Premium package as well for $2,750 USD.
