A shift down the point to Winkipop brought high-performance surfing and major shakeups at the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach.Day 3 saw two-time Bell winner Sally Fitzgibbons eliminate defending event champ Caity Simmers, while Gabriela Bryan put on a dominant display to surge to the top of the rankings. CT standouts Tyler Wright & Lakey Peterson showed her veteran strength, and rising stars Luana Silva, Isabella Nichols, and Bettylou Sakura Johnson all charged into the Quarterfinals.
On the men’s side, the Round of 32 delivered non-stop action. Ethan Ewing and Kanoa Igarashi led the way with powerful, precise surfing, while progressive performances from Seth Moniz and Morgan Cibilic lit up the Winkipop walls. World No. 1 Italo Ferreira, two-time World Champ Filipe Toledo, and a stacked field now prepare to battle for their Round of 16 spots when the comp resumes.
