As I always say, you don't need much for instrumental music, and sometimes just a guitar is enough. Minimalist guitar music is really a creative challenge. Focusing on just one instrument, seeing what you can get out of the instrument is fantastic but also, as I said, challenging.

In order to produce this song, an effects device was very important. The Freeze effect from Electro Harmonix. This effects device freezes a note and you can improvise on this note, for example.

This is what I did here. The guitar is tuned to drop D, I struck the low D string and froze the note. Then I improvised and recorded a guitar solo.

There will be more of these songs and videos, the Freeze effect pedal is a must-have for every solo artist.
