The story behind this is that my dad (who grew up in the 60s-70s and listened to a lot of funk, soul, disco, rock, etc.) was playing a funk/soul classics radio station over the living room speaker via Pandora, and "Between The Sheets" by The Isley Brothers came on. For whatever reason it caught my attention, and I quickly got the idea that a Jungle remix of it might work pretty well.

My dad has a decent sized collection of both CDs and records, so I went digging through it to see if he had a copy of the song somewhere, and sure enough he had it on CD. Loaded the files from the CD onto my computer and then loaded "Between The Sheets" into Renoise, and roughly six months later I've finally finished it.

One really nice thing about "Between The Sheets" is that it seems to be quantized at exactly 84 bpm, which isn't a guarantee with a lot of songs made before the advent of DAWs.
