The 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has spoken out against the barbaric attacks in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State, which claimed the lives of entire families across five communities: Mangor Tamiso, Daffo, Manguna, Hurti, and Tadai. During his statement, Obi expressed deep concern over the mass killings, including children and pregnant women, who were reportedly buried in mass graves. He criticised the increasing normalisation of violence across Nigeria and urged the government and security forces to take decisive action in bringing the perpetrators to justice.
