2021 marks the 15th anniversary of one of metalcore's most essential albums: All That Remains' 'The Fall of Ideals.' The Massachusetts band’s third full-length — featuring the lineup of vocalist Phil Labonte, late lead guitarist Oli Herbert, rhythm guitarist Mike Martin, bassist Jeanne Sagan and drummer Shannon Lucas (who went on to play in The Black Dahlia Murder) — was produced by Killswitch Engage cohort Adam Dutkiewicz, and featured a string of standout songs including "This Calling," "Six" and "The Air That I Breathe." Thanks to these killer cuts — as well as the band’s relentless touring and a couple choice song placements (in 'Guitar Hero II' and the 'Saw III' soundtrack) — All That Remains were catapulted into the national spotlight and secured their position as one of the giants in the metalcore scene. Here, Revolver catches up with Labonte to look back at their defining 2006 record — from the creative relationship with Adam D and how the Phil-Switch era actually happened to the song that came out of thin air, the hilarious time a fan kicked Herbert's ass on 'Guitar Hero,' and more.
