The decolonizing journey is also about reclaiming our spirituality to experience liberation at the level of spirit. It is this spiritual liberation that will allow us to truly be free. And, unfortunately this knowing has been exploited by the colonial patriarchy. The colonial paradigm disconnected us from our ancestral traditions, from nature, and from our direct connection to the spiritual realms. And, indoctrinated us to believe that a spiritual connection can only come through an institution, through authority figures, and through linear processes.

This severing and programming was accompanied with violence, fear, and a colonial mentality so that they would no longer have to do the work and we would do it to ourselves. However, many of us are being called to return.

In this video, I share with you the importance of decolonizing AND reclaiming our spirituality and, at the end, I share a prayer and invocation with you to support your journey. May we remember. May we return to the sacred ancestral ways. May we birth new ways. May we receive the medicine we need.
