Hamelin, Germany - 1284: A stranger in multicolored clothes has freed the town from a plague of rats with the help of a magic pipe. The rodents, who had previously danced on the tables in the houses, followed the sounds of the piper and drowned in the nearby river. When the citizens of Hamelin then refuse to pay the agreed reward, the Pied Piper retaliates by luring away the children out of town to the sounds of his magic instrument.
They were never seen again.
