It might seem surprising, but when we compare the locations of the world's richest countries to those with underdeveloped economies, a pattern emerges: almost all of the wealthiest countries are found in colder regions, while those with lower incomes are typically located in hotter, tropical areas. So, why do warmer countries seem to be falling behind? Does the cold really boost an economy, or is there something else at play?
