Fleshbore have crafted a tech death album that is unrelenting from the get go. It's packed to the brim with riffs and to make things overwhelming, they offer innumerable variations and deliver it with rare, staggering intensity. The vocals are straight up furious; the frontman delivers both hoarse growls and deep grunts in a rapid stuttering style, interspersing it all with raspy vocals to suit the constantly shifting moods of the album. The music has an inherent momentum, oscillating violently between the sped up technical parts and progressive passages providing brief respite, and spicing things up with brutal death metal bits along the way. It's not just fast tech death; it's full-bodied intricate death metal, carefully and thoughtfully composed, and flawlessly executed. 'Painted Paradise' is an album that's also remarkably catchy and even memorable despite the ever-intensifying chaos. There are parts that will stand out from the cascade of riffs in every song and will have the listener delightfully coming back for more. Fleshbore have imbibed the best parts of the style and reimagined it in their vision, and spew out the volatile concoction forcefully as a fiery, acerbic projectile that ends up being some of the most exhilarating music in recent times.
