There was a time when axe lords reigned supreme. The guitar was seen as a divine gift, bestowed on humanity from above. Guitarists walked the earth like gods. Instant respect from dudes and even stirring the passion of fair maidens. Just imagine being James Hetfield or Dave Mustaine in the 80's. Eddie Van Halen was practically an alien from outer space. People couln't even comprehend the brilliance of Randy Rhoads or Dimebag Darrell. Those days are GONE now. The path pioneered by metal originators like Tony Iommi is lost. In this video, I'm going to give you 3 reasons why the guitar is dead. The greatest instrument of all time has fallen from the throne. We've lost sight of our passion and musical insight. Platforms like instagram and tik tok have made virtuosic feats on guitar commonplace. The guitar has saturated the internet...sadly most will just keep on scrolling when they see a six stringer strutting their stuff. Flashy technique simply no longer works.
