@reinholdtracks Rock Basics in A minor (5364) is a versatile backing track that invites you to play along. The chord progression is in the key of A minor, but also uses some chords from the relative major key of C major. As with all my tracks, the chord progression is displayed in real time. Nashville notation shows the chords relative to the degrees of the E major scale. A total of five chords appear in this backing track:
Em: the tonic of the key of E minor
G: the chord on the third degree and the relative major key
D: the chord on the 7th degree of the E minor scale (subtonic)
A: the subdominant of E minor, but here as a major chord
C: the chord on the 6th degree of the E minor scale, but also the subdominant of the relative major key G major.
Chord diagrams show fingerings for guitar chords with open strings.
