
Once it is cracked you keep working on that crack until a big slab parts away from the main frozen ice and then you can move it. Once it is moved it will soften in the water and you can crack it and it becomes easier to move out the way of your swim lane. Normally if there wasn't a stream here in and out where I can get rid of the ice I would make an ice hole which I wanted to demonstrate on the big lake which is really frozen thick. But the wind was to cold and gusting lots . Here I can make a lane to swim but I find I have a lot of fun cracking and moving the ice out of the small lake and flushing it out of the down stream. ☮️
