After months of waiting for a weather window to fit the van windows, I got them installed and today was the first opportunity for an adventure in the van to see how they change the van and how we use it.

We’d be having dinner on the cliff tops down near Land’s End, but first, we needed to earn it. It was a stunning day and after parking up we took the footpath, making friends along the way, to the lunar landscape of Geevor mine. Heading along to neighbouring Levant mine, the old workings felt like a step back in time.

Back in the present, we continued back through this crazy landscape to some more familiar Cornish sights of lush green cliffs, and crystal clear seas.

Coves and beaches appeared in the distance, but were busy due to the bank holiday so we moved inland and completed our walk, before hopping back in the van and heading to a quiet spot for some dinner.

Among the mining ruins, we enjoyed a drink and cooked up delicious bean stew.

We’re both completely thrilled with windows, and wish I had installed them years ago. They completely transform the back of the van, let in so much light and will protect us from the elements in the future…because the weather isn’t ALWAYS this nice in Cornwall!
