We're surrounded by endless choices. Endless possibilities. Everything is available, all the time.
Nothing feels rare, nothing carries weight.
When everything is possible, however do you focus? How do you decide?
Sometimes, there's clarity hiding in the noise.
There might be diamonds buried in the rubble.
But you’ll never find them if you keep adding.
So I started subtracting.
I reduced. I removed the clutter. Eliminated options.
Chose one device.
I created my own sample pool of single notes, textures, glitches and chords.
That became my vocabulary. This shifts the creative focus. It’s freeing.
I wrote all five tracks using only this material, only the Digitakt’s sequencer.

That became Reduktion.
No decoration. No filler.
Just structure.

Because limitation is not a flaw. It’s a tool.
